Old wooden bridge from Galilee to Jerusalem RI. Digital image made on 10/11/12 Galilee has been a favorite place of mine since the 80’s. In the 90’s I met Arnold Prince a former Art Professor at RISD who took his class there in the eighties. Arnold and I both worked at RISD at the same time but never met till the first day he was painting a mural in Willimantic on Walnut St. We became fast great friends and would travel to RI once or twice a summer. He would sketch and I would shoot some color for him to paint from or as he put it your much easier to hall around than an easel and he could not talk to an easel. enjoy pjc

Old Digital Rebel from the first batch made with 18-55 lens which isn’t because when you factor in censor coverage you really have a 29 by 88 lens but who cares just as long as you get your instant gratification, and post process artificial intelligence to make something from nothing. Watching Being Watched New London 2002

Back in a retrospective mood today from the Layered Life series sort of, I also shoot a lot of signs neon. During this session I wanted my model tougher more present, lots of images in this series are made to look like the subject is from 1800’s contrasted with the modern. Working on some portraits sitting on the stair the man stepped to the window and the image was complete. Click an image made [in the old day’s we used to make negatives-images] today everything is captured. Personally I prefer making images whether it is with film like this or digital. Making an image just sounds better than capturing. enjoy pjc
