The Great Yellow Father in the declining years Kodak. Taken from the window of a train I had to move quickly to get the Jet in the image. Again excuse me for lying across you on the train.

August 2001 a magical month part of a creative, productive year.
But Sept just after I flew home the world changed. The art world started a currently 15 years of disfavor and non support.
This isn’t about politics it is a celebration of my vision 330 rolls of film exposed in 2001, many images I am now seeing for the first time. It has always been about the next image.
A friend introduced me to Kim a dancer in Seattle. We met after my Workshop on Whidbey Island. We went to brunch and she showed me some of Seattle arriving at the Gardens I looked at the space as we waited to pay and enter. “Kim we can’t go in now.” I said “we need to go get you dance clothes.” Returning a half hour later we entered to a world on movement and magic.
2001 a time of change from Willi to Norwich for the next 15 years. More revitalization programs committees. More of the suicidal emphasis on NPOs everyone is a artist. All inclusive devaluing the professional artist. I continue singing my song to the few that listened. To be an artist is not a weekend hobby or an after school activity. It is a commitment to seeing, expressing, communicating being a metaphor for the human condition.
Here are a few moments in time part of A Life in Photographic Art.
Photographic Art some more dance.

So a half an hour ago I started, this post I wrote a paragraph on repetition in the darkroom a must for control of technique. Notes on printing so I can walk into lab years later and quickly match a print. But repetition, technique in the Piss me off Pixel Age is difficult as Upgrades, Changes, Distractions and the constant need to babysit this inhuman box. Too much brain power diverted from creativity to keeping up with marketing the homogenization of thought. Be an individual just do it with the latest AI. [FU AI.] like everyone else. WP deleted my words and added 6 images I uploaded to the Lib. appeared in post. I must have missed the latest new and improved version.
A Life in Photographic Art a second book Forty Five years seeking the highlight finding the Muse.

The next image, always the next image here in 2013 or
here 2016 an old perhaps ’50s truck up the street from me. The string that ties the journey, the images, is seeing beyond the stylized bright color. Tri X the tie that binds.
