I have been photographing texture forever, White Wood abstracting time looking close and back at times before my time. Lately I have been shooting out buildings in decay or restored reused. A metaphor for the cultural changes in the use of the land. So if you see me, don’t worry I’m just a documentary photographer who prefers Black and White film photos so these digital images are just place markers till I can print the negatives. Thanks Kendra for such a fine image of me. peace pjc
Service Station
The Young’s, Mike’s, Sanborn’s, most you could not get a grinder at, or even Hot Dogs. But you received service a clean Windshield, Tire pressure, water and oil checked. A while back a major east coast food chain hooked up with a National Oil Co. to redeem gas points, problem was the customer at the market got the sound of the tube you drove over announcing your arrival at the service station. A sound that 2/3 [being conservative here] of their customers had never heard. Not much airtime on that one. enjoy pjc

Tom Menard at Work in the Studio
Tom concentrating on a very detailed part of this work at The Kerri Gallery November image made on TMax 400 film mono pod no flash. If every tiny detail isn’t important than, gee I don’t know Tom and all the other Artists from this series always strive for perfection. A work of love, difficult compelling but still work. enjoy pjc
