Maybe a bit out of Chronological order this morning but after a relaxing weekend of Jazz, First Mose Allison at The Hygienic Art Park followed by Sunday’s cool gentle breezes on a hill top in Goshen at The Litchfield Jazz Festival Great music, great venue. I felt this sunrise from Amtrak 10 years ago just fit the mood. enjoy pjc
Hartford Jazz Fest 2000
Still in Seventies 1975 Westford Vt.
The image from May of 1975 but the nails could be 1875, my series of White Wood transcends time. I still shoot it although farms are harder to find in New England. “Food” is now genetically engineered why eat real food when you can pop supplements. I also was/am very intrigued by textures. Many old roads to travel and re see. enjoy pjc
The night before conversing with Cestandrea regarding my old roads and images I found words I had written regarding this image. She wondered which images were old, I directed her to my Seventies series. Yes I do keep all the words I have written and like. It surprises me that lately my “verbal images” are often married to images. I am even more surprised that I was doing this in the 70s as well. So here from an old steno page are the words.
Driven into the woodshed
Now form rust stalactites
Spring sun on the sill of my bedroom window
Abstract patterns formed by
Thirty two coats of cracking peeling memories
Faded lace, weathered wood
White weathered wood.
