From a session with a Czech Republic model by way of NJ she emailed me wanting to shoot. I replied I didn’t pay models, in the process of, emails I wasn’t sure she understood so we spoke on the phone she had seen my work and just wanted to work with me. Arriving on time we shot for a couple hour she was great. A month later I ran a workshop for “Studio Light for the Figure” she came back and was paid for her time. It was quite a compliment for her to drive 200 mile round trip because she liked my work having twenty years experience modeling in Europe and America. No she wasn’t a child model she is in her forties when this image was made. enjoy pjc
Photographic Sculpture
From a study done in 2000 low key light and negative space create Triangles to define the form. A little wrinkle in the background helps imply the third dimension as the small sidelight bounces off the thigh and posts a highlight on lower leg. B+W film scanned from a print. It is hard these days to find tattoo free models. Maybe I’m just behind the times. enjoy pjc
Photographic Art More salacious photographic sculpture LOL
High Key Figure Study
This image made on Ilford SFX that is a film that is Red sensitive so you shoot it through a RED 25 filter giving similar results to IR film. ISO 200 shot at 800 processed in Rodinal to produce a grainy effect almost to the point of a drawing. I love grain when used correctly.
