Reached down to 19 f last night. A dusting of snow Sunday evening. But we all know soon it will look like this soon, too soon. I’ll admit to liking snow but this is about as deep as I want to deal with unless it’s a really big blizzard. Or a mega storm that the weather person on TV shovels out new adjectives to describe the latest impending disaster. Schools are closed the day before and we all wake up to the sunny mild day oh the storm we’ve been watching on micro doppler radar for 3 or 4 days just turned. enjoy pjc

Sept. 19 late afternoon looking almost into the sun using one hand as a lens hood I made this image. Problem with many Zoom lenses you can’t put a hood on them because the varying focal length either will vignette on the wide end of the lens or not cover enough to prevent flare. This tool may be made I just haven’t seen one. An asst. holding a steno pad works best. I don’t like to shoot with one hand at less than 1/250. I know some cameras have auto stabilizer but I still prefer prime lens and film. enjoy pjc
