Negative Space

On Wednesday evening I had the pleasure of speaking to the Schenectady Photographic Society. My topic was negative space and how to use it to direct your viewers attention to the subject. There was nothing negative about this group of approximately sixty people who actively contributed to a lively debate on this topic. Negative space is a simple concept yet it is also a very individual concept, one that isn’t found in any program or mode it is a creative choice and interpretation and I came away with as much new thought on the subject as I hope I provided. These folks were certainly the most interactive group I have ever had the pleasure to speak before. They meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 all the particulars are on there web site linked above.
