This is not the first time I have found this orange door in my viewfinder. I am sure there is a slide from a past life or two, in fact I can’t remember a stroll down Water St without at least looking through the camera at this door, making it my palette for a moment. On this day the light was right dollops of sunlight like sprinkles on ice cream complete this visual confection.

Beautiful color combinations and well executed as to composition and tonal control. Another classic in your portfolio I would say.

t\’s early morning here in Paris, raining cats and dogs and, as your posts arrive in my mailbox now, if find this photo with the sun spots and it\’s sparkling colors and it just wakes me up:). It\’s like vitamines. We arrived here yesterday and I found a wonderful photobook and your letter between the letters that have arrived within the 3 weeks we were away:):) Thank you Peter, for this wonderful gift. What I love is that there are not only your pictures, telling so many stories, but also your whimsical comments, like ornaments… Precious gift. Love Andrea
PS In the meantime it’s the afternoon here in Paris and I try again to post this comment here, hope this time it works…We have sun and rain and sun and rain, already quite autumnlike, cool weather. Leaves are still green.

Dan Rather commenting on the 2004 Presidential election coverage when Florida was projected to Al Gore and then reversed, “To Err is human to really screw up you need a computer.” A country fair and squeezing out the last moments of summer for me. Hope you have a splendid weekend. Hi to Oscar. LOL enjoy pjc
