Late March Window Light.
What I photograph is light, what I show you is emotion. It is a simple concept. In 2003 I was at a group discussion with three Photographic Artists showing at The Hygienic. The floor was opened for questions. The first question was directed to Sal Lopes who was showing a series of wild horses photographed in a corral. He was in the corral very close to these beautiful animals. There was a level of connection, energy, emotion. The first question was regarding his printing technique. His response was [paraphrased] if you look at my work and want to talk about technical data one of us is missing the point.

So is this film or digital? ๐ But seriously, I don’t care to know. Either way the circle is complete. Photons from the sun reflected off the objects in the scene exciting synapses in the photographer’s mind transferred through the magic of camera, CCD/chemistry, internet and LCD/CRT to photons entering my eye exciting synapses in my mind. It is all light and emotion. The rest is nuts and bolts.

It’s me the photographer not the tools used. But that’s what you said. enjoy pjc
