These have been primary themes of my work forever! As I blogged through the 70’s and 80’s I looked at recurring themes. I choose to revisit these themes/roots sometimes traveling the same path, sometimes a new interpretation or ideas that didn’t reach film. Movement for sure. Here is one from the beginning of a series. Katie will play a moving roll in this work. See her dance in person and on my site. enjoy pjc

I can hear tamtams, and little bells and rustling of the silkfabric – the light is glittering…and I try to find out how she is moving, where is her head and where her belly, and have to give up thinking and just look.
Your dance pictures and all your (self) portraits, expressing often joy, concentration or inner poise and simply friendlyness are a pleasure to look at.

Hi Peter — you have a great blog. I loved the Converse post.

Hi Peter. I love photos of belly dancers and dancers in general! This shot brings back memories for me when I photographed my friend Jeanie. She is a belly dance instructor. Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo on my laptop to post but she can be seen on my web site.
I’m going through my 6000+ photos from my trip to Spain and hope to create a gallery for those at some point. It takes forever to edit 6000 photos. LOL The words “mind-numbing” come to mind.
Be well, my friend. Talk to you soon!
